Volunteer to help the Infirm

During our program, participants gain personal development skills in small group training from experts in compassionate care. During the training, topics have included: compassionate listening, mindfulness, palliative care, education on dementia and more.

Young women who have joined us in the past have expressed an irreplaceable satisfaction from gifting their time and love to the elderly. Time and again, they describe that spending time with the residents was an unexpected gift that they didn’t know they needed. Join SALT to volunteer to help the infirm, gain skills in compassionate care, and find fulfillment. Volunteer to help the infirm today.

Every day, spiritual retreats are held with daily mass and prayer and substantial time for reflection.  Being Catholic is not required, however, we ask that all applicants engage in the spiritual component of the program. And even though you do not have to be actively discerning religious life to participate in SALT, it is an opportunity to explore God's plan for your future.  And, several participants

have found their vocations in the Carmelite order.

The program is a perfect opportunity to explore

your options.
